Abdul Razak Manaf, has served both the Government and Corporate sectors in various capacities. A graduate of university Malaya Faculty of Arts, Abdul Razak began his working life as an Assistant State Secretary for the State of Selangor. He then joined the hospitality industry, working with the Holiday Inn Hotel chain before embarking on a career with Esso Malaysia Berhad in 1977.

After an initial stint in training and human resource management, Abdul Razak’s 22 years in Esso were mostly in the Marketing Department with wide managerial exposure in all aspects of marketing. Assignments to Esso officers in New York, London and Rome gave him a cosmopolitan perspective and feel to marketing.

Being a user of market research for many years, Razak is motivated by his desire to see more local participation in the growing market research industry.
